Retirement Plan Services
Business clients who seek efficient and effective representation on matters related to their retirement plans need look no further.
Partner Eugene Parrs, Esq. has specialized in all areas of retirement plans, including 401k plans, ESOPs, defined contribution and defined benefit plans for over thirty-five years. He is the author of a periodic newsletter for pension professionals and a frequent lecturer on tax, ERISA, pension, and estate planning matters.
Additionally, our pension paralegal, Kathy Fouquet, is among the first group of pension professionals in the United States to achieve the new Internal Revenue Service (IRS) designation of Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), allowing Kathy to represent clients before the IRS on retirement plan matters. Kathy can now act under the client’s Power of Attorney and deal directly with the IRS on behalf of the client. She can also represent the client in audits before the IRS.
Our firm works closely with our business clients on their retirement plan matters, representing them in virtually every aspect, from choosing a plan that meets their business needs, preparation of the plan documents and representation in the event of an IRS or Department of Labor (DOL) inquiry or audit. Additionally, we have extensive experience with filings at the IRS National Office under the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS) when a plan faces documentation and/or operational failures. We also work closely with our clients’ third party administrators (TPAs) on plan design, compliance and operational matters. Furthermore, clients that adopt a retirement plan document sponsored by our firm can be assured that there will be timely communications to advise them of any IRS requirements relating to document updates and participant notice requirements.
